From my Intermediate Painting class. The 2nd Project B.Acrylic paint on canvas. No title as of now. Objective was to make two opposing pieces.
This is the image of the guy who see’s his girl on the opposite wall but is unable to reach her, all the while there are easels and chairs between him and her. This parallels an actual event at a rave where my boyfriend and myself were separated in a large crowd. We could see each other but were physically unable to reach each other because the event staff had closed off the path from the balcony to the floor. It also serves as a metaphor for our physical distance (40 minute drive, one way) and our struggle to be with each other.
